Flexibility, heavy beats & the great outdoors: a chat with coach Liliia.

What inspired you to become a trainer, and what's your favorite part of coaching at Primal Gym?

I did acrobatics as a child, and I dreamed of becoming a circus artist or a coach. My favorite part of coaching at Primal Gym is seeing the progress of my clients.

Can you share a success story from one of your clients that really motivates you?

I have many stories that inspire me. One client had serious back problems and pain in daily life, but with regular training, she got much better. Another woman struggled with extra weight and couldn’t get pregnant for a long time, but after training and losing weight, she had healthy children. One more client even changed her life completely — she was depressed and stuck in a job she didn’t like, and now she’s also a coach.

What's your go-to workout song or pump-up anthem?

It depends on the mood, but usually something energetic like 'Eye of the Tiger' or old-school hip-hop. Sometimes I also like electronic music with a strong beat.

Outside of the gym, what's your favorite way to stay active or recharge?

I’m always active! I love hiking, and whenever I get the chance, I like doing some acrobatics — handstands, bridges, splits, walkovers, handsprings. It really gives me energy and makes me happy.

What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone who's just starting their fitness journey?

Never give up — keep moving toward your goal. You’re already a champion just by starting, because your mindset is already changing. You can do it — just believe in yourself!

What's your favorite discipline to teach at Primal Gym and why?

I teach FlexFit Fusion and Splits & Stretch classes, and I love both. They work great together — one builds strength and control, the other improves flexibility and recovery. It’s a perfect balance.

What's something people might be surprised to learn about you?

Before becoming a coach, I worked as an accountant and economist for 9 years. But I followed my dream and changed my life — now I’ve been helping people through training for 14 years.
